Dr. Paul Grumbach graduated from Holy Cross College in 1968 and the dental school of the University of Maryland in 1972. He served for several years as a dentist in the U.S. Navy, mostly on the staff of the naval hospital in Orlando. He has been in private practice in Fort Myers since 1976. Dr. Grumbach and his wife, Pat, have three grown daughters and a grandson.
Dr. Grumbach maintains memberships in the Lee County Dental Society, the Florida Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Board of General Dentistry, the Seattle Study Club, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an international honor dental society.
Since graduating from dental school Dr. Grumbach has accumulated over two thousand three hundred hours in continuing education seminars, including the two-year long Comprehensive Dentistry Program at the University of Florida. As a result of these efforts, he became the first Fellow and then the first Master of the Academy of General Dentistry in Lee County. In 1996 Dr. Grumbach became the first, and still the only, board-certified general dentist in the area. Finally, in 2008, he was recognized for his contributions to the dental profession by receiving the Academy of General Dentistry’s Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition Award. He is the only general dentist in Lee and Collier counties with all of these credentials.
Dr. Grumbach has had extensive experience in all areas of dentistry, but he also recognizes the need to frequently utilize the services of dental specialists in our area, and he has consulted with them for many years. He especially likes to get second opinions for complicated treatment plans, so that his patients can enjoy the advantage of having another “pair of eyes” evaluating their unique situations. This also helps in providing alternate treatments, especially when cost may be a factor.
Dr. Grumbach believes that all patients should receive written estimates, including assistance with filing insurance claims. We also accept all major credit cards and financing through Care Credit. Care Credit at our office provides interest-free financing for the first six months. (This option may not be available for some PPOs).
